Set the default card

Marks one saved card as the shopper's default — the card checkout pre-selects. On success every other saved method for the same merchant and shopper is cleared, so the target ends as the only default.

Shopper binding matches /checkout/lookup: the token must resolve for the supplied email, and the target method must belong to the token's merchant, that normalized email, and the merchant's active PSP provider.

FieldTypeRequiredDescription
widget_tokenstringYesActive widget token. Merchant auth headers are not required.
customer_emailstringYesThe shopper. Must match the email the token resolves for.

Reading it back: There is no read endpoint for saved cards of its own — POST /api/v1/checkout/lookup returns them, each carrying is_default. Re-run the lookup after a change to refresh the list.
